Help & Support
Quick start
ShareRun turns the workouts you've already logged in Apple Health into beautifully designed cards you can share.
- Open ShareRun and grant access to Apple Health when prompted. Your workouts will appear automatically.
- Tap any run, walk, ride, swim, hike, or strength session to open the card editor.
- Pick a theme, drop in your route map, then tap Share to send the card to Instagram, Messages, or save it to Photos.
Designing a card
Themes
Four built-in themes — Midnight, Chalk, Gradient, and Minimal — change the background, text, and stat colors. Tap the Path tab in the editor to switch.
Accent colors
Five accents (Ember, Electric, Cobalt, Violet, Rose) recolor the route line, badges, and highlights so each card matches your vibe.
Map background
In the Background tab you can pick between Standard and Satellite map styles, toggle the start/finish pins, and trim the first or last segment of your route to hide your home or office.
Photo background
Prefer a photo over a map? In the Background tab tap Photo and choose any image from your library — the card will be composed over it.
Stats
In the Stats tab pick up to six metrics from distance, duration, average pace, heart rate, calories, elevation, best pace, and cadence. Strength workouts only show metrics that apply.
Size
The Size tab lets you switch between aspect ratios — square for Instagram feed, vertical for Stories.
Caption
Add a personal line up to 80 characters in the Path tab. It appears below the stats, in italics.
Sharing & exporting
Tap Share in the top-right of the editor. ShareRun renders the card at high resolution and presents the standard iOS share sheet — from there you can:
- Post to Instagram, X, or any other app installed on your phone
- Save to Photos
- Copy the image to paste elsewhere
- Send via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop
Troubleshooting
"No workouts" or my list looks empty
- Make sure you've granted Apple Health access. Check in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → ShareRun and turn on every category.
- Check whether a filter pill is selected at the top of the workout list — tap All to clear it.
- Pull to refresh the list.
- If your workouts live on another iPhone or iCloud, make sure Health is syncing to this device.
The card has no map, only a solid background
That workout has no GPS route attached. Strength sessions and indoor workouts usually don't include GPS. Outdoor runs/walks/rides need to have been recorded by an Apple Watch or an app that writes GPS to HealthKit. You can still design the card with a theme background or use a photo from your library instead.
I tap a workout but get a paywall instead
The card editor is part of ShareRun Pro. Subscribe (3 days free, then $0.99/month) to unlock it, or restore a previous purchase from the paywall.
Stats show "—" instead of a number
That metric wasn't recorded for that workout. For example, heart rate only appears if your tracker captured it; pace requires distance, which strength workouts don't have.
The route looks wrong — it goes through buildings or jumps
ShareRun draws the GPS coordinates exactly as they were saved by your watch or app. Indoor segments and weak-signal areas can produce jumps. Use the trim sliders in the Background tab to clip the noisy first or last segment.
Units are wrong (km vs miles)
Open Settings in the app (the gear icon in the top-right of the workout list) and switch Units between Metric and Imperial.
Light or dark mode
Same screen — choose Dark or Light under Appearance. This controls the app chrome; card themes are independent.
Subscription
What's included in Pro
- Unlimited workout cards
- All card themes, sizes, and accent colors
- Background photo support
- Satellite map style
Pricing & trial
3-day free trial, then $0.99 per month. The trial is offered only to users eligible per Apple's rules (typically first-time subscribers).
Restoring a previous purchase
If you've reinstalled or switched devices, open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. You'll need to be signed in to the same Apple ID that originally subscribed.
Canceling
Cancellations are handled by Apple, not by ShareRun:
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select ShareRun Pro and tap Cancel Subscription.
You'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Refunds are also handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the ShareRun charge, and request a refund.
Privacy
ShareRun runs entirely on your device. We do not have a server, do not require an account, and do not collect or transmit your health data. For the full policy, see our Privacy Policy.
You can revoke ShareRun's access to Apple Health at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → ShareRun.
